Aluminium die casting is a fascinating process that transforms raw aluminium into beautiful home decor accessories. It is both an art and a science, and comprises of the following steps.

Design & Mould Creation: First, skilled artisans create detailed designs, often inspired by nature or abstract art. A precise mould is then made, usually out of hardened steel, which will define the final shape of the product. This mould can be used repeatedly, making it ideal for producing consistent, high-quality pieces.

Melting the Aluminium: Aluminium, known for being lightweight yet durable, is heated in a furnace to extremely high temperatures exceeding 600°C until it reaches a liquid state. Its low melting point compared to other metals makes it ideal for die casting.

Injection & Casting: The molten aluminium is injected into the mould under high pressure, ensuring that every detail of the design is captured. Once filled, the mould is left to cool, allowing the metal to solidify into its intended shape.

Cooling & Solidifying: As the mould cools, the aluminium solidifies and takes the shape of the intended accessory. This stage is crucial as it defines the structural integrity and quality of the final product.

Trimming & Polishing: After cooling, the product is ejected from the mould. Excess material, known as flash, is trimmed away, and the surface is polished to remove any imperfections, revealing the smooth, finished metal.

Surface Finishing: To enhance durability and visual appeal, surface treatments such as electroplating, powder coating, or lacquering are applied.
